Tottenham star Heung-min Son is reportedly poised to reject offers from Saudi Arabia to remain with the North London club, according to recent reports.
Speculations had surfaced linking Son with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, with Al Ittihad reportedly eyeing a summer swoop for him alongside Mo Salah.
However, recent developments suggest that Son is inclined to stay put at Spurs.
Earlier this week, reports revealed that informal discussions have already taken place, with the club planning to initiate formal contract talks with the South Korean international.
And as per the latest update from Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Son himself wants to stay at the club.
As per report, the player is happy with the Spurs project under Ange Postecoglou and wants to be part of it.
It adds that Son has told his friends that he feels he is at the peak of his career and will therefore snub the ‘huge’ offers from Saudi.
Son’s influence at Tottenham has been incredible.
Since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, Son has been a mainstay for Spurs, racking up an impressive 157 goals and 86 assists in 395 appearances.
And stepping into the role of captaincy following Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last summer, Son has shouldered immense responsibility and emerged as the primary figure for Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou.
Which is why his contract extension would be a huge boost for the manager
