Tottenham signing Liverpool youngster would solve one massive problem very cheaply

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham have been linked with a surprising move for Liverpool youngster, Rhian Brewster and his signing might solve a big problem at the club.

The English teenager is one of the most recognizable teenage strikers in England after top-scoring for his country at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and also scoring 10 goals in 20 league games for Swansea in the second half of the just-concluded season.

He is back with Liverpool and has been at the training camp with the club’s senior players.

His long-term future is at Liverpool but his immediate future might be away from the club as he seeks to continue his development.

Jurgen Klopp is, however, unsure of whether he should be loaned out again and Football Insider claims that Spurs want to take him on loan for the coming campaign.

One major problem that Tottenham has to solve in their squad this season is that of a backup to Harry Kane.

Kane has been troubled by injuries in recent seasons and the club has suffered in his absence, Mourinho thinks Brewster can provide the goals when Kane is missing.

The Lilywhites will also be solving that problem inexpensively if they manage to get Brewster on loan and that is of major importance considering the finances at the club right now.

He impressed at Swansea, and they want him back for another season, I wouldn’t say no though.

This lad is good, but he played 20 games for Swansea, so will he get much game time at Spurs? Liverpool want him to develop, being on our bench for long periods won’t fulfil his or their needs.
