Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Igor Thiago from Brentford in the coming months.

The Brazilian has done quite well since joining Brentford, and he has attracted the attention of Newcastle and Aston Villa as well. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are showing “serious interest” in the player.

Igor Thiago is in fine form

Thiago has 12 goals in 16 matches across all competitions this season, and he is one of the top attacking players in the league right now. There is no doubt that he could improve Spurs going forward. They have struggled to find the back of the night regularly, and signing Thiago could help them improve.

The player has been described as the “main man” for Brentford by Sky Sports, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done. Brentford will not want to lose a key player like him, and it will be difficult for Tottenham to get the deal done.

They will hope that Thomas Frank can use his connections at Brentford and help them get the deal across the line.

Spurs need a striker like Thiago

It is no secret that they need a reliable striker. Dominic Solanke has not been able to live up to the expectations, and Randal Kolo Muani will leave the club when his loan deal expires. Tottenham need a quality striker who can lead the line for them and score goals consistently.

The opportunity to join Tottenham will be exciting for Thiago. It would be a step up for him, and he would get to compete in European football with them. The opportunity to join them will be hard to turn down.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both. The player could cost around €70 million, and Tottenham would have to pay the premium if they want to get the deal done.
