Tottenham sent scouts to watch 23-year-old as he scored his 15th goal of the season – club remains interested in signing him

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in signing Sheffield United’s Iliman Ndiaye.

The report claims that Spurs scouts watched the forward play against Preston North End last month where he scored his 15th goal of the season and assisted another. Everton are also said to be interested in the Senegalese star.

Ndiaye has been in terrific form throughout the season, making him a top target for numerous clubs. His contract with Sheffield United expires next year, which could be concerning for The Blades, and they will be eager to keep hold of him going into next season.

However, if the 23-year-old chooses not to sign a new contract, Sheffield could suffer a financial loss on him as he would be free to sign with another club next year. The club will try to convince him to sign a new deal, but the interest from Tottenham could prove too hard to resist for the player.

Despite a turbulent season, Tottenham are still considered among the top clubs and could potentially play in Europe next season. This opportunity would likely be too tempting for the striker to reject.

Sheffield United secured promotion to the Premier League alongside Burnley and will hope to maintain a strong squad going into next season. While interest from Everton may not be a big problem given their current season and potential relegation, losing Ndiaye to a top club like Tottenham could be a significant blow.
