Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a centre-forward continues as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window.
Spurs have identified a promising target and have dispatched scouts to Euro 2024 to closely observe Turkish forward Semih Kilicsoy.
According to Turkish newspaper Sabah (via Sport Witness), the Lilywhites are not alone in their pursuit of the teenage striker.
Kilicsoy has attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester City, due to his exceptional talent.
Although the 18-year-old did not feature in Turkey’s 3-1 victory over Georgia in their opening group game, he is expected to play a role as the tournament progresses.
He had an excellent season with Besiktas in the Turkish Süper Lig, scoring 11 goals and providing 3 assists in 23 league appearances, showcasing his potential and skill.
The young forward is under a long-term contract with Besiktas which lasts until June 2028, having renewed his deal earlier in January.
Tottenham scouts are expected to be present at Turkey’s upcoming matches against Portugal and the Czech Republic.
The highly-talented striker is reportedly valued at €25 million, and with his notable goal-scoring record and potential for further development, he is a player Spurs are watching keenly during the tournament.
