Rennes forward Mohamed Kader Meite has been linked with a move away from France, and seven Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have sent Scouts to watch the 18-year-old attacker in action, and it will be interesting to see whether they decide to submit an offer for him. They need more quality in the final third, and Meite could be a future prospect for them.

Spurs could use Meite

The player has five goal contributions in Ligue 1 this season. He has shown that he has the quality to compete at the highest level. He will be hoping to establish himself as a reliable striker in the coming season. Tottenham could use someone with his skill set.

Meite will certainly be attracted to the idea of moving to the Premier League. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential. He would get to play alongside quality players at the north London club, and that could help him improve further.

Several clubs are keen on Mohamed Kader Meite

Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brentford and Brighton are also interested in the player, and they have scouted him this season. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham decides to make its move quickly to steal a march on their rivals.

The young attacker has attracted attention from Saudi Arabia as well, and the French outfit have received a £35 million offer for him. However, the French attacker is not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia at the moment. He wants to continue in Europe, and moving to the Premier League will certainly be tempting.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can agree on a deal with Rennes in the coming months.
