Tottenham are reportedly monitoring Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro as they look to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window.
According to GiveMeSport, Spurs have been regularly sending scouts to watch the 21-year-old’s performances regularly. Moro’s versatility and flair have drawn the interest of manager Ange Postecoglou, who aims to strengthen the team’s wide side in January.
However, Tottenham are not alone in their pursuit, with Premier League rivals Liverpool also said to be tracking the young Spaniard.
Currently valued at approximately £9 million, Moro has been a key player for Valladolid this season. He has registered three goals and one assist in 14 La Liga appearances, showing his ability to contribute both as a scorer and creator.
Moro’s journey began at Lazio, where he debuted in Serie A against Juventus in 2020. Loan spells at Ternana and Real Oviedo followed, allowing him to develop further. In July 2023, he joined Valladolid on loan, playing a vital role in their promotion to La Liga. His strong performances earned him a permanent four-year deal with the club in June earlier this year.
Across all competitions and all levels in his career so far, he has racked up 28 goals and 17 assists in 135 games.
Tottenham continue to target emerging talents
Postecoglou’s interest in Moro aligns with Tottenham’s strategy of identifying emerging talent to strengthen their squad. They have already signed the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert, Ashley Phillips, Luka Vuskovic, Min-hyuk Yang and Alejo Veliz in the last few transfer windows.
Moro’s ability to adapt to high-intensity football and his experience in both Italian and Spanish leagues makes him a promising candidate for the Premier League.
While Valladolid is likely to demand a substantial fee for their rising star, and competition from other clubs poses a challenge, Tottenham’s persistent scouting indicates their serious intent to secure the player.
Should Spurs move forward with their pursuit, Moro could bring added dynamism and depth to their attack, supporting the team’s ambitions in domestic and European competitions.
