Tottenham reported to have made a massive offer for 21-year-old ace

A new report from France is claiming Tottenham is the team that offered £75 million for Victor Osimhen a few weeks back.

The 21-year-old Nigerian has been in fine form in his first season in France after joining Lille from the Belgian league.

Osimhen won the Golden Boot at the 2015 FIFA under-17 World Cup and after struggling to break into the first team at Wolfsburg, he has now started proving his worth with Lille.

He only joined the French side in the summer, but he could be on the move again as several top European teams have made him a summer target.

He was the subject of a £75 million bid by an unknown team a few weeks ago and that team has been revealed to be Tottenham.

TeamTalk has cited Les Cahiers du Football editor Abdellah Boulma, as the source for this information, including the claim that it was Jose Mourinho that made the offer along with added bonuses.

Mourinho has been looking for a good backup striker to share the goal-scoring burden with Harry Kane and it seems that it is Osimhen that he has identified as that player.

He will no doubt be confident that he can develop Osimhen into one of the Premier League’s most dangerous strikers.

The reported offer from Tottenham does seem a little unrealistic to be honest. It is hard to believe that Daniel Levy would sanction such an outlay on a 21-year-old with just one good season under his belt.

Come on, nobody believes that load of nonsense. Levy, 75M, for a player nobody’s heard of? Sure, sounds plausible, lol.

That is a tonne of money, especially if the transfer window is supposed to be slow! If that is the intent Levy is going to show, bring it on.

LOL, Spurs made an offer of £75m, don’t make me laugh, it would kill Levy to offer half that.
