Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Spanish club Sevilla and he helped him win the Europa League. The player is set to return to his parent club upon the expiry of his loan deal, but he could be on his way out of the club permanently this summer.
It is evident that he is not a key part of Tottenham’s first-team plans, and it will be interesting to see if new manager Ange Postecoglou is prepared to provide him with an opportunity to showcase his qualities in England.
As per Corriere Dello Sport via SportWitness, Italian outfit Lazio are keen on signing the 22-year-old Spanish winger, but they will have to pay a fee of around €30 million. Spurs are unlikely to let him leave for a cheap price this summer.
Gil joined his former club Sevilla on a loan deal during the January transfer window, and he has impressed with his performances during the second half of the campaign. It remains to be seen whether the Spanish outfit are ready to bring him back to the club permanently this summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are lacking in depth in the wide areas and if Postecoglou decides to give him an opportunity to prove himself at the London club, it could prove to be a wise decision. The Australian manager specialises in getting the best out of his players and if he can help the 22-year-old winger adapt to the Premier League, Tottenham could have a quality long-term asset on their hands.
