Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.
The 22 year old has had an impressive campaign with the German club and his performances have attracted the attention of the north London club.
According to 90 min, Tottenham are keen on signing the Bundesliga defender Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen as well. However the negotiations for Van de Ven are ‘slightly more advanced’ compared to the Burkina Faso international.
It will be interesting to see if they can get a deal for the Dutchman across the line soon.
Apparently the Premier League outfit are confident that their search for a defender is likely to end soon. Improving their defence should be a top priority for the newly appointed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs were quite vulnerable defensively and they conceded 63 goals in the league last season. They will need to cut out their defensive mistakes in order to do well next season and secure Champions League qualification.
The 22 year old Dutch defender has the ability to succeed in the Premier League and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. He will look to take the next step in his career this summer and a move to the north London club would be the ideal option for him.
He could be the ideal long-term partner for Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence for years to come.
That said, Tapsoba would be a superb acquisition for the English club as well.
