Tottenham prepares offer for star who scored brace against France at the Euros

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a forward, whether it’s to replace Harry Kane are add some more offensive attack. One name that the London-based club is eyeing is SL Benfica forward Haris Seferovic.

According to the Portuguese media outlet A Bola (via Sports Mole), Tottenham has expressed interest in the Switzerland international, and the door is open for a move to the Premier League.

Other media outlets out of Portugal claim that despite the ongoing talks, there’s no offer on the table for the 29-year-old who is under contract with Benfica until 2024.

Nonetheless, Tottenham appears to be equipping themselves, and the English club could make the first bid this week. Seferovic appeared in 48 fixtures for Benfica in 2020-21, where he scored 26 goals while registering three assists.

Seferovic starred for Switzerland and scored three goals at the UEFA Euros, two of them coming in the upset victory over France in the Round of 16. When it comes to the cost, initially, Seferovic would only leave Benfica for at least €25-million; however, the Portuguese club is willing to lower its asking price.

According to my source John Public, we have a lot of deadwood we cannot move. Sanchez $42M, a player that never seem to know where his fellow center backs are. Harry Winks, very tidy sideways and back with very high passer rating under 10 meters are less. Eric Dier, just a matter of time before he loses his head. Talking about losing one’s head, Aurier as brilliant as he can just be plain dumb. Moura, Bergwjin and Lamela never saw a deadend that does not look like a tunnel, then the ballerina, Delle fancy feet Ali dancing and flicking his heels stopping a fast moving attack to skip a few between the legs for good measure, and lastly, Doherty with all the determination of a beast on this face but moving in super slow motion. John Public went on to say, “There are no takers, the chairman is assessing the selling prices for these useless assets for a fire sale. Keep an eye on the final 1 day before the widow closes”.
Oh, I was interrupted on the news of we chasing a 29yr old starlet. But was told 29yr old and starlet does not fit into the same category.

Let’s not forget Vinicius looked like a world-beater at Benfica too…

I hear Papiss Cissé, 36, who scored 5 in 25 last season for Fenerbahce, wants to test himself in the PL again. Might be more our speed?
