Tottenham predicted to beat Liverpool despite poor recent results against the champions

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham will host Liverpool in their next Premier League game as Jose Mourinho’s men look to move back into the top four.

The Lilywhites are currently 5th on the league table with 33 points, just one less than Liverpool and the Reds have played a game more.

Tottenham has had an inconsistent start to the season and Liverpool aren’t the easiest team that they can play.

The Reds are the competition’s defending champions, but they are on a terrible run of form ahead of this match.

Goal.com ran some stats in this fixture ahead of the game and still predicted that Jose Mourinho’s men will earn a 2-0 win over their rivals.

Tottenham lost the reverse of this fixture 2-1 last year, that was the fifth consecutive league games that the Reds have beaten the Lilywhites.

Liverpool has formed a good habit of beating Tottenham every time regardless of which of the team plays at home, but they have never won three away games against Tottenham before.

Spurs will also feel that they can maintain their current form in this match because Liverpool has been in a terrible form on the road with 2 losses and five draws in their last seven away games.
