Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club in recent weeks.
According to TBR Football, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on securing his signature and they have scouted him. Spurs will face competition from North London rivals Arsenal.
Liverpool are keeping tabs on him as well.
It will be interesting to see where the 21-year-old central midfielder ends up. He is highly rated in Spanish football and he has been likened to Xabi Alonso because of his playing style and vision.
Tottenham need more quality in the middle of the park, and the Valencia midfielder could be the ideal acquisition. He will help them control the game from the deep and his ability to carve out opportunities for his teammates with his passing and vision could make him the ideal addition for Tottenham.
Former Spanish international and Valencia icon Gaizka Mendieta labelled him as a “really good player” back in 2023, and he feels that Guerra is one of the best young talents at Valencia right now.
It will be interesting to see where the 21-year-old ends up. He needs to join a club where he will get regular gametime, and Tottenham could certainly provide him with that platform. He could complete their midfield unit alongside Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr.
Meanwhile, Arsenal need a midfield controller like him as well. Jorginho is in the twilight stages of his career and the Italian international will have to be replaced adequately. The La Liga midfielder could be a quality long-term investment for them, and he could be attracted to the idea of joining a club capable of pushing for league titles regularly.
Finally, Liverpool could use a player with his skill set as well, especially after the departure of Thiago Alcantara at the end of last season.
