Tottenham Hotspur could lose a number of players on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Players like Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier will all be free agents in the summer of 2024 and the North London giants are yet to agree on a contract extension with them.
Lloris is expected to move on after his error-prone performances this season. The 36-year-old seems like a shadow of his former self and he is no longer the player he used to be.
Spurs will have to replace him as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and letting him leave the club on a free transfer would be ideal for all parties.
As far as Kane is concerned, the 29-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from Tottenham. He is one of the best players in the world and you will have no shortage of suitors.
It will be interesting to see if Spurs can convince him to sign a new contract with them in the coming weeks. If the England international does not renew his contract with Tottenham, it would make sense to sell him this summer instead of losing a player of his ability on a free transfer.
Similarly, Eric Dier has been quite underwhelming this season and he has been criticised for his error-prone performances.
The experienced Tottenham defender is unlikely to be a regular starter for the club in the coming season and it makes sense for him to move on. Dier has 361 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions.
A report from the Athletic claims that Dier leaving the club on a free transfer is a real possibility. It will be interesting to see if the new Tottenham manager is willing to give him opportunities next season.
Spurs are expected to bring in a long-term replacement for Antonio Conte this summer. Former midfielder, Ryan Mason is currently in charge of the first team.
