Tottenham opponents certain they will win and the only question is by how much

By Bruce Grove -

Lokomotiv Plovdiv owner, Hristo Krucharski has taunted Tottenham after the Bulgarians refused to accept Tottenham’s offer to move their Europa League match to London.

Spurs face a serious fixture pile-up at the start of the new season as their trip to Bulgaria will be sandwiched by two Premier League games against Everton and Southampton.

The Lilywhites had the chance to move the game to London according to UEFA rules, provided that they get their opponents to agree.

They explored that option, but it was turned down by the Bulgarians who are confident that they will triumph over their illustrious opponents and Krucharski even has the confidence to taunt Spurs.

He claimed that Spurs had made him an offer to move the game to London, but he turned them down because he was sure that his team will cause an upset and it is not a matter of if they will win but a matter of by how many goals they will win.

Krucharski said via Star Sports: “There was an offer from Tottenham to play there. But I told them quickly that we don’t play for money but for pleasure.

“We are Bulgarians. We have the chance to host this match here and the match will be played on Bulgarian soil.

“The miracle is clear. That we will beat them. We will beat them. The question is by how much.

“Now everyone will start saying I am crazy, a simpleton. But this is Bulgaria. Everything happens with patience.

“If we don’t believe we can beat Tottenham, we’d better dig ourselves a grave and wait to die. We can defeat them! We’ve got 16,000 bottles to celebrate!”

How is anybody allowed to switch? And why would they? The offer seems absurd.

As I understand it, most of the brighter, skilled and educated people now get out of there as soon as they can to work abroad. The EU has obviously helped facilitate that.

What a wonderful idea, drain the country of all it’s talent as cheap labour in wealthier member states and let the original country rot and become a cesspit of crime and corruption. While using contributions from other member states like us to keep the mob in nice cars and villas on the Costa Del Sol… unbelievable really.

One of the main reasons I voted leave, I could not back Brussels any longer with stuff like that going on.

Ok, well I can only see as I find. I’ve met a couple of weird ones but in the whole easy to get along with. You see as you find don’t you I guess…

Quite possibly, Albania aren’t in the EU though are they. Bulgaria are though, billions of EU subsidies straight into the mob’s pockets. You couldn’t make it up.

Why don’t we ask the third round opponents if they’d mind switching?

Bulgaria is the most corrupt country in the whole of Europe. It’s s shame because many of the people are nice.
