Tottenham now “willing to listen to offers” for fan favourite – will sell for a decent price

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur’s highly talented young player, Oliver Skipp, could be on his way out of the club this summer, according to TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

Skipp, who has been a part of the Tottenham setup since 2008 and progressed through their academy, made his mark in the first team after a series of midfield injuries.

The 22-year-old fan-favourite seized the opportunity with remarkable performances last season, establishing himself as one of their standout players whenever he was given a chance.

His displays last season caught the attention of many, earmarking him as a young talent with a promising future at Tottenham.

However, Crook’s recent claim suggests that Spurs are now open to selling the talented midfielder if they receive a decent offer.

In his assessment of potential departures this summer on Crook mentioned the likes of Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as all those who could likely be shown the door.

He also mentioned Skipp and Winks as those who would be allowed to leave for a decent offer.

Speaking on TalkSport, Crook said:

“Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for the likes of Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, maybe even Pierre Hojbjerg in midfield, who didn’t have the greatest season last time around.

“Then you look at the likes of Harry Winks and Ollie Skipp – they will be allowed to leave as well if Tottenham can get decent offers.”

Harry Winks today completed a move to Leicester City for a reported fee of £10 million.

Meanwhile, Skipp’s market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at €15 million.

This valuation makes him a tempting prospect for a number of clubs.

In fact, Skipp garnered interest from Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leeds United, and Bournemouth in January, with clubs keen on securing a loan deal.

However, at that time, the move was blocked by former Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.

Now, with the club willing to part ways with Skipp, it is possible that one of these interested clubs could rekindle their pursuit.
