Tottenham Hotspur are using the international break as a crucial period to regroup after a difficult domestic campaign.
Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League, Spurs have little to play for in the league but remain fully focused on their Europa League ambitions, with a crucial quarter-final clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on the horizon.
With several key players away on international duty, Tottenham will be hoping that all return fit and ready for the decisive final stretch of the season.
Lucas Bergvall misses training session with Sweden amid illness
However, there has been a slight setback, as midfielder Lucas Bergvall has missed Sweden’s training session due to illness, raising doubts over his availability for their upcoming match.
According to Aftonbladet, the teenage midfielder is dealing with a cold and has remained at the team hotel while his teammates trained.
Sweden’s manager confirmed that Bergvall was not in top condition and needed to rest, adding that they would assess his situation before making a decision on his involvement in the upcoming game.
Fortunately for Tottenham, it is not an injury issue, meaning Bergvall should recover in time for club action.

Bergvall has been in fine form for Tottenham
Since arriving at Spurs from Djurgårdens IF last summer for a reported £8.5 million, Bergvall has impressed in his debut season. He has shown remarkable composure and technical ability in midfield, earning regular starts under Ange Postecoglou.
His first goal for the club came in a crucial 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the 1st leg of the EFL Cup semi-final, further cementing his importance to the squad. So far, he has made 38 appearances in all competitions, contributing a goal and four assists.
Despite the poor performances, he has emerged as one of the big positives this season, consistently putting in top performances.
With Tottenham’s season now hinging on their Europa League campaign, the club will be eager to have Bergvall back at full fitness. As a key player in Postecoglou’s midfield, his presence could be vital in Spurs’ push for silverware and Champions League qualification.
