Tottenham may have to pay as much as €30 million for 20-year-old Serie A target

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham have been informed how much they would have to pay for Hellas Verona’s defender, Marash Kumbulla, according to a report from SportWitness.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for the Italians this season and it has caught the attention of several top sides around Europe.

He has been one of the reasons that Verona has done fine on their return to the Italian top-flight but he could be set to leave them in the summer.

Spurs could lose at least two defenders in the summer with Jan Vertonghen on his way out for free and Juan Foyth reported to be available for transfer after he failed to convince Jose Mourinho that he can do a job for him.

The report reckons that Spurs see Kumbulla as a replacement for the Belgian and they have been told how much it would cost them to land him.

SportWitness claims that the Italians are looking to make as much as €30 million for the player’s signature and the minimum fee they would look to recoup from selling him would be €25 million.

Jose Mourinho has been linked with a number of high-profile defenders this summer and the Portuguese manager is unlikely to want to spend that much on a defender who only has a season of action in the Italian top flight.
