Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in recent weeks.
They were expected to move for the 23-year-old Premier League defender in January but it seems that they have now changed their stance on the pursuit of the England international. Tottenham are now unlikely to move for the defender in January because the deal will be nearly impossible to pull off.
As per Football Insider, the central defender is valued at £60 million and clubs like Manchester United are keen on the player as well. However, they are unwilling to match the asking price.
Tottenham are in desperate need of a quality central defender, but the £60 million asking price seems quite steep. The Eagles will have to be more reasonable with their demands in order for the transfer to go through.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to move on to other targets in January.
