Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of VfB Stuttgart attacker Chris Führich.
The German international played a big part in Stuttgart’s sensational 2023/24 season where they finished second in the Bundesliga and have secured Champions League football for next season.
Führich’s consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed and according to Bild via SportWitness, Tottenham have initiated contact as they look to sign the former Borussia Dortmund winger in the summer.
Führich was involved in 38 matches across competitions last season and he contributed towards 16 goals (9 goals, 7 assists). His consistent performances on the left flank have earned him a place in the German squad for the Euros and it has also resulted in a lot of interest in his services.
Multiple clubs from the German top flight are keen on signing Führich but there is interest from the Premier League as well. Tottenham are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and they have been linked with the Stuttgart winger.
The North London club want more firepower in the attack and they feel the German international could help their cause. Apart from goals and assists, his versatility will give Ange Postecoglou more options to work with.
Meanwhile, the player signed a new four-year deal at the start of the year and there is a €26 million release clause in his deal. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to trigger his release clause this summer. There is no doubt that they have the financial resources to get the deal done.
Führich has the quality to justify the investment as well. He could prove to be a bargain at €26 million if he manages to hit the ground running in English football.
