French international defender Jean Clair Todibo has been linked with a move to the Premier League during the January transport window.
According to Foot Mercato, Chelsea have opened talks to sign the player this month and he is a priority target for them.
The report further states that Tottenham have made a very ‘concrete approach’ to sign the player and he is ‘keen’ on their project.
However, OGC Nice are not keen on selling him midway through the season and it remains to be seen whether the two English clubs can convince them to change their stance with a lucrative offer.

The 24-year-old has been outstanding for the French outfit this season and he could improve both clubs defensively.
Chelsea need to find a quality long-term replacement for Thiago Silva and Spurs need defensive depth in the side.
Spurs are without Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven due to injuries. Eric Dier has been linked with an exit in January. Signing a central defender will be their top priority and Todibo would be a superb addition.
The French international is a proven performer and he will help Tottenham tighten up at the back.
Spurs must improve defensively if they want to secure Champions League qualification and they must do everything in their power to sign Todibo.
He seems ready to take the next step in his career and he should be able to make an immediate impact in the Premier League if he moves to Tottenham.
