By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on improving their defence with the signing of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

The 26-year-old central defender will be a free agent in the summer and clubs like Liverpool and AC. Milan are keen on the player as well.

A report via Fichajes claims that AC Milan can begin talks to sign the 26-year-old defender right away because foreign clubs are allowed to secure a pre-contract agreement with the player from the start of the year. However, Tottenham and Liverpool will have to wait until his contract expires before they can begin negotiations regarding a free transfer.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure his signature. Ange Postecoglou has recently revealed that the North London club need another central defender and the 26-year-old would be a quality addition. He is well settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact. He will be available on a free transfer as well and that would allow Spurs to invest in the other areas of their squad.

The report states that Tottenham view him as an ‘attractive option’ ahead of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool keen on Tosin Adarabioyo

Meanwhile, Liverpool need a central defender as well, especially with Joel Matip leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer. The Fulham defender would be a quality acquisition for them and it remains to be seen whether they can beat the likes of Tottenham and Milan in the race.

Adarabioyo we want to compete at the highest level and push for major trophies. A move to Liverpool or Tottenham could be an attractive proposition for him if he decides to continue in the Premier league. Both clubs are well placed to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and they have exciting squads at their disposal. They could help the defender realise his ambitions in the coming seasons.
