Tottenham linked with a move for Serie A Turkish international

By Bruce Grove -

Italian outlet, TuttoJuve claims that Tottenham has made an enquiry about the signature of Juventus defender, Merih Demiral.

Spurs are desperate to land a new defender before this transfer window shuts next week.

Their top target is Milan Skriniar, but they are struggling to agree a deal with Inter Milan for the former Sampdoria man.

While they have continued negotiating for Skriniar, they have also decided to look at alternative targets and that is where the link to Demiral has come from.

The Turkish defender had started to become relevant in the Bianconeri squad before he suffered a serious injury that has kept him out for some time now.

When he returns, he will face serious competition for a starting spot and Spurs are looking to take advantage and sign him.

The report claims that the Lilywhites and Everton both want to sign him and they have offered 30m euros for his signature.

However, Juventus have told them an emphatic “No”.

Spurs will now look at their other targets, who that will be is anyone’s guess, however, Skriniar looms large.

Spurs are keen to bolster their team and money does not appear to be that much of an issue, it is just a case of getting the deals over the line.

Overweight and totally disinterested the signing of Ndombele has been an utter disaster even worse than Messrs Jannsen and Soldado respectively and that says something! Sell him quick!!

Surely giving Troy Parrott an extended run out in the first team would have been a better option in the circumstances? Big mistake loaning him out me thinks!

Honestly these reports.
If Dan hasn’t made a firm offer for Skriniar no way has he offered 30 for some random Captain.
(I am quoting yesterday’s news on the updates on Skriniar and how long it takes after discussions for a firm bid to come in from N17)
