Tottenham lining up a move for 21-goal Premier League attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are looking at potential replacements for Harry Kane with the England international linked with a move away from the club.

According to a report from Football Transfers, Spurs have been long-term admirers of the 27-year-old Brentford striker who scored 21 goals across all competitions last season.

Toney is currently serving a ban for breaching gambling regulations, and he will not be available to play until the 16th of January.

Tottenham are now prepared to secure his services during the winter transfer window and it remains to be seen whether Spurs come forward with a concrete proposal for him.

The 27-year-old striker has proven his pedigree in the Premier League with Brentford and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the North London club.

Tottenham are expected to lose Harry Kane this summer with Bayern Munich keen on signing the player.

The 29-year-old England international is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and he has not signed an extension with them. Spurs will be under pressure to cash in on him this summer and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

Kane is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world and his departure will leave a massive void in the Tottenham attack.

The North London outfit have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks and it remains to be seen who they end up signing.

Toney is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at Spurs.

The 27-year-old is at the peak of his powers and the opportunity to move to Tottenham will be an attractive proposition for him. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a fee now.
