Tottenham learn asking price for 13-goal target, club ‘bracing for offers’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

The 26-year-old striker has been quite impressive this season and he has 13 goals across all competitions.

Solanke could prove to be a quality addition to the Tottenham attack and the North London outfit will have to pay over £50 million if they want to sign him in the coming months. According to Football Insider, the cherries are now ‘bracing for offers’.

The striker will not be sold midway through the season, and Tottenham will have to wait until the summer transfer window to secure his signature.

The North London outfit need to bring in a reliable goalscorer who can lead the line for them. The former Chelsea and Liverpool striker could prove to be a useful option for them in the attack. They chose not to replace Harry Kane when he left the club at the start of the season and Tottenham have been overly dependent on Son Heung-min for goals.

The South Korean international will need more help in the attack and signing a reliable number nine would be a wise decision.

However, the asking price seems quite steep and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to look for cheaper alternatives abroad.

Solanke will certainly be attracted to the idea of playing for Tottenham and it would be an exciting step in his career. He has the quality to improve Tottenham in the attack as well, but Bournemouth will probably have to be more reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through.
