Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo at the end of the season.
They are looking to add a dynamic forward to their attacking unit and the Ghanaian International is on their radar. According to a report from Fichajes, the cherries have set an asking price of around €60 million for the attacker.
Semenyo has 9 goals and 5 assists to his name this season and he could prove to be the ideal acquisition for Tottenham. Naturally, he is a right-sided winger, but he is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three. He will add goals, pace, and flair to the Spurs attack. His arrival would add some much-needed unpredictability going forward.
The 25-year-old could be attracted to the idea of joining Tottenham as well. It would be a step up in his career and he would get to play alongside better players and compete for trophies in the coming seasons.
Semenyo could improve further
The winger is highly rated in the Premier League and his teammate Lewis Cook believes that he has all the ability in the world and he could go on to another level in future.
“As a team, we knew the quality he has and we saw that last year. He’s got to just keep working hard – being aggressive and being clinical,” Cook told BBC.
“He’s got a lot better at running back and helping out the team too. He’s a powerful lad and has all the ability in the world. Hopefully he can continue to show that.”
The player is still only 25, and he will only improve further with coaching and experience. He is yet to enter the peak years of his career and Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. Although the reported €60 million asking price might seem steep, the Ghanaian has the ability to justify the investment in the long-term.
