Tottenham keeping tabs on £45 million ace who ‘ticks a lot of boxes’ for Postecoglou

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Gleison Bremer.

The 26-year-old Brazilian central defender joined from Torino last summer and he has been a key player for the Italian club.

According to Football Insider, the Italian outfit paid £45 million for the player and it remains to be seen whether they’re willing to sell him this summer.

The report further states that the Brazilian defender ‘ticks a lot of boxes’ for the newly appointed Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer and the 26-year-old could be a solid acquisition for them.

Bremer has shown his qualities in the Italian league and he could prove to be a superb option for Tottenham next season.

The North London giants had a disappointing campaign last year and their defensive performances were woeful.

Tottenham will need to strengthen at the back in order to bounce back strongly and get back into the Champions League.

Signing someone like Bremer could prove to be a wise decision. The 26-year-old could form a quality partnership with Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.

It is fair to assume that Juventus will look to make a profit on the £45 million they spent on him. It remains to be seen whether Spurs are ready to break the bank for him.

The north London outfit have been linked with players like Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van dde Ven as well. It remains to be seen who they end up signing eventually.
