Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of attackers in recent months and it appears that the Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is also on their radar.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave Chelsea permanently after falling out of favour at Stamford bridge. He does not want to play for the Blues next season.
The Belgian was sent out on loan to Inter Milan at the start of the season and he has been quite underwhelming for the Italian outfit as well.
If Inter Milan decided not to sign the player permanently at the end of the season, he could be available during the summer transfer window and a report from Fichajes claims that Tottenham have shown interest in signing him.
The 29-year-old has played under Antonio Conte in the past and he excelled under the Spurs manager during their time together at Inter Milan.
Lukaku was crucial to Conte’s title win at Inter Milan and the Italian manager could be keen on a reunion.
Tottenham need to add more cutting-edge in the final third and Lukaku would be a superb acquisition if he manages to get back to his best.
It will be interesting to see if Lukaku is keen on joining another Premier League club in the summer.
Tottenham must look to secure Champions League qualification in order to attract players of his quality and the opportunity to work under Conte once again could prove to be a tempting proposition for the Belgian international.
