Tottenham keen on Bundesliga forward, deal could be possible ‘very late in the transfer window’

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel.

The 18-year-old is highly rated around Europe and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the north London club.

According to a report from the Guardian, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Ruchel plans to hold on to the French youth international for the upcoming season but things could change very late in the transfer window.

He could leave “if something changes very late in the transfer window” as per Tuchel. This probably means that Bayern could cash in on him if the Kane deal goes through.

It is no secret that Spurs need to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer especially if Harry Kane ends up leaving the club.

Although the 18-year-old is not ready to replace a top-class goal scorer like Kane yet, he has the potential to develop into a quality striker.

Tel can operate as the centre forward as well as in wide areas. His versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham if they manage to sign him.

The talented young striker will look for regular game time next season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can provide him with that opportunity. He scored 5 goals in the Bundesliga last season having played a total of 397 minutes in the league.

Regular football at Tottenham could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer €100 million for Harry Kane and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can secure an agreement.
