Tottenham keen on 26-yr-old PL ace, they ‘see him as a January solution’ to their problems

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo in recent months.

The 26-year-old defender will be out of contract at Fulham at the end of the season and he could leave the club on a free transfer. Fulham have been trying to agree on a new deal with the player but the two parties have not managed to reach an agreement.

A report from Evening Standard claims that Tottenham are long-term admirers of the 26-year-old defender and they ‘see him as a January solution’ to their defensive problems.

Tottenham are lacking in depth when it comes to the central defensive unit and summer signing Micky van de Ven is sidelined with a knock. They must look to add more quality at the back and Adarabioyo would be a superb addition.

The 26-year-old knows the Premier League well and he will be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact. The North London outfit will have to plug the gaps at the back if they want to finish the season strongly and secure Champions League football. Signing a seasoned Premier League defender could prove to be a wise decision.

In addition to that, the defender is in the final six months of his contract and he is likely to be available on a bargain. Fulham will not want to lose him on a free transfer and it makes sense for them to sell him for cheap next month.
