Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in signing Nico Williams from Athletic Club Bilbao.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the finest young attacking talents in European football right now and he had an exceptional season with club and country last year. According to the Athletic, Tottenham are keeping tabs on his situation and they could look to make a move in the near future.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring his progress as well. The player has two goals and five assists to his name in all competitions this season and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham submit an offer to sign him.

They need more quality and depth in the attacking unit. Son Heung-min will be out of contract in the summer of 2025 and Nico Williams could be the ideal replacement for him. The 22-year-old has a £46 million release clause in his contract and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done.

The player earns around €200,000 a week at the Spanish club, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to offer him a lucrative contract if he joins the club.

The attacker could be tempted to move to the Premier League as well. It would be a major step up in his career and he would get to compete at a higher level. Tottenham have an ambitious project and qualities at their disposal. They could help him push for trophies.

Meanwhile, Arsenal need more depth in their attack as well. They have not been able to rotate players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli regularly. Signing someone like Williams would be a wise decision. As far as Liverpool are concerned, Mohamed Salah will be out of contract in the summer of 2025, and they need to replace him adequately. Chelsea will need to find upgrades on players like Mykhailo Mudryk.

It will be interesting to see where Williams ends up eventually.
