Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Antoine Semenyo in recent months.

They remain interested in the 25-year-old African attacker, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him in January. Signing the player will not be easy, and he’s likely to cost around £70-80 million.

Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider: “It’ll be a difficult deal to do for a number of reasons. It’ll be difficult to do due to Bournemouth not looking to lose Semenyo.

“The price tag that will be on his head, it’ll be probably around 70 to 80 million pounds plus, I think, for somebody like him.

“Also, it’ll be difficult to do because of the huge rival interest in Semenyo…it won’t just be Tottenham who are interested in him.“

Spurs could use Antoine Semenyo

Semenyo would be a quality addition for Tottenham if they manage to get the deal done. They could use a dynamic attacker like him who can slot into multiple attacking roles and contribute with goals and creativity. He has shown his quality in the Premier League with Bournemouth, and he has the ability to play for the biggest clubs.

Semenyo has been described by his teammates as a player with “all the ability in the world”. Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the Cherries to sell.

The 25-year-old will certainly be attracted to the idea of playing for a bigger club. He will want to compete in the UEFA Champions League and fight for trophies. Tottenham will be able to provide him with that platform.

Semenyo is at the peak of his career, and this is the right time for him to move on and take on a new challenge. He knows the Premier League well, and he will be able to make an instant impact at Tottenham.
