Tottenham in the mud – even Arsenal could finish higher

By Bruce Grove -

This has been a diabolical season for Tottenham and the chances are quite high that it could actually get a whole lot worse before the dust has settled.

Tottenham faces off against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium at the weekend and even the most die-hard Spurs fan will be hard pushed to make a case for Ryan Mason’s men.

The Foxes will be going all out for the win to maintain their own push for a top-four finish and so they cannot be classed as a team already on the beach.

Arsenal now sits just a solitary point behind us in the standings and once all the points have been tallied up on Sunday evening, we could and probably will be sitting in the ninth spot.

One of the only crumbs of comfort we could have taken from this season was that we finished above Arsenal, well, that is unlikely to happen now and you just know that they will banter the hell out of us all summer if that scenario comes to pass.

No manager, set to lose our best player, below Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea in the league, could it be any worse?

Yup, its called the European conference league and who the hell knows who will follow Kane out of the door.

The quicker this season finishes and is confined to the dustbin of history the better, though I am struggling to look forward to the next campaign with any form of positivity.

If it means avoiding the Eurodisney Conference, then let them have their St Totteringham’s day

We had the easiest run in of all the teams in the top half of the table… we also had no manager… anyone noticed the drop off in Kane & Sons throughput since Mourinho left?

I think finishing 9th would be the best thing to happen to us…. the remit for the new manager will be top 4 so how does 18 other games help that cause? Besides the lack of any European football may just ask Levy to look again at the quality of the sqaud as opposed to finishing 6th & him thinking ahh we just need a manager to get more out of these players… either way Im expecting to finish lower in the league next season than this season.

The players must hate these trips, who wouldn’t?

Yep I’m with that for a season less games more energy try and win a cup and squeeze into top 6 depending on manager, players out/in.

I think 4 is nailed on. Levy needs to be seen spending money this window – it’s just the net spend will be positive (for the club)

Again it was in our hands and we let it slip yesterday was shocking, so many games we’ve messed up roll on Sunday and put an end to this fiasco such high hopes

I remember a few seasons back when we were 13 points ahead of Arsenal with a few games to play…We ended the season below them and guess what 2021 ain’t going to be any different. Already my Arsenal golfing mates are having a laughand queing up to collect on our annual bet on who will finish higher. 😂

This has been one of the worst seasons I’ve experienced both on and off the pitch. Here is what I believe will happen (please note, it is not what I want to happen):

  1. Kane will go. I actually think this is probably already done, would not be surprised if it’s announced Monday.
  2. We will appoint either Rodgers, Potter or Flick with Rangnick or someone similar taking up a DoF role.
  3. Hitchen will be the scapegoat and given the bullet.
  4. We will spend circa £200m (all of which will come from player sales and our net spend will be positive).
  5. If Gabriel Jesus isn’t included in the Kane deal we will sign someone like Ings.
  6. I expect us to go back for Skriniar.
  7. I think we will have another crack at Grealish (seems obsessed with Spurs and has Jonathan Barnett as his agent).
  8. Next season will be a mixed bag and we’ll finish around 5th/6th but the logical blame will be on a host of new players and the new manager settling in.

Yeah, and we could still get Champions League football and we could still win the Europa League and we could still win the Carabao Cup.

Adios baldy, close the door on the way out. THFC is about much more than a solitary egotistical, narcissistic and incompetent individual like you. Give us our club back please.

Sod finishing 7th though, let Woolwhich have the Europa conference… it’d do us the world of good in the PL not having poxy European trips to the arse end of nowhere each week?!

We finish below Ar5e and Wham the Levy has to go, especially given the light he’s shed on his transfer spend trying to big himself up the muppet. If this is what happens when you spend “big” then the people in charge of the transfers have to take responsibility and fall on their sword. Goodbye Mr Levy

I remember clappers saying what an easy run-in we had compared to our rivals and yet we are looking down the barrel of a gun.
On a poll elsewhere I predicted a 5th/6th finish thinking a bit higher in reality.
5th/6th………………………….lol
