Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
The 27-year-old has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining the club from Everton. Apart from his underwhelming performances, he has struggled with injury problems as well.
It appears that Tottenham would be open to selling the player now. Brazilian club Flamengo are keen on securing his signature, and they have already submitted an offer for him. However, reports from Fichajes claim that Tottenham have already turned down the offer, and they have made it clear that they have no intentions of letting the player unless an offer of around €40 million is presented.
It will be interesting to see if the Brazilian club is willing to pay that kind of money for the player. There is no doubt that Richarlison is a quality player on his day, and he could be an asset for Flamengo if he manages to recapture his top form. Fluminense are keen on him as well.
Meanwhile, Tottenham should look to cut their losses on the player and move on quickly.
It is evident that the signing has not worked out for the North London club, and they should look to sell him and invest the proceeds from his departure in a player who can help them improve. They need more depth in the attack and signing a dynamic attacker who is capable of operating anywhere across the front three would be ideal.
They need more depth and quality in the side to finish the season strongly. They have been quite mediocre so far and Tottenham will be desperate for Champions League qualification.
A move away from Tottenham would give the player the fresh start he needs as well. Richarlison has struggled for regular gametime recently, and he needs to play more often to get his career back on track.
