Tottenham have ‘made contact’ with Inter Milan to sign player they have ‘long admired’

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to reports by 90min, Tottenham have reportedly “made contact” with Inter Milan over the potential signing of Andre Onana, who is being targeted as a replacement for Hugo Lloris.

Lloris has been the subject of much criticism this season, with his poor performances often resulting in conceding easy goals and errors that have led to opposition scoring.

The club is now said to be actively seeking a replacement, with a number of options being considered.

Onana is one of the goalkeepers who have been linked with Tottenham.

He joined Inter Milan from Ajax Amsterdam just last summer, but according to reports, the Italian side may be willing to sell him in order to raise funds to balance the books.

The report claims that Tottenham have “long admired” Onana. It also adds that he will be available at a “cut-price fee,” making him an attractive option for the North London club.

However, Tottenham are not the only club interested in the Cameroonian shot-stopper.

Chelsea are also believed to be keen on signing him and have also made contact with Inter Milan to inquire about his availability.

The Blues are also said to be in search of a goalkeeper, with Kepa and Mendy reportedly not in their plans.

Aside from Onana, Tottenham are also linked with the likes of David Raya and Jordan Pickford as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options for the upcoming season.
