Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey this summer.
As per Aksam, the North London club have ‘lined up’ a move for the 22-year-old Frenchman this summer and they will face competition from clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United as well.
The defender is reportedly valued at €16 million and Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to pay the asking price.
It will be interesting to see if Spurs decide to splash out on a right-back this summer.
They have recently signed Pedro Porro from Sporting CP and the Spaniard is expected to be the first-choice right-back at the club next season.
Signing another right-back would be a bit of a surprise unless Tottenham decide to cash in on the likes of Emerson Royal.
Even then, Boey will look to play regularly in the Premier League and he is unlikely to accept the role of a squad player at Tottenham.
Meanwhile, the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle need to bring in quality right-backs this summer and they will probably stand a better chance of signing the defender if they are truly interested in him.
The 22-year-old Frenchman is highly rated around Europe and he has a bright future ahead of him. He could develop into a quality Premier League defender in the coming seasons.
The reported €16 million asking price could prove to be a bargain for a player of his potential in the long run.
