Tottenham handed major boost, key star could return to action this weekend

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a major boost ahead of their weekend clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to a report from Football London, Son will return to the club following South Korea’s exit from the Asian Cup and he could feature against the Seagulls at the weekend.

Tottenham have been without the 31-year-old attacker in recent games, and his return will come as a major boost for them. The South Korean international has been in spectacular form this season, scoring 12 goals and picking up five assists in the Premier League.

Son will help Tottenham improve going forward and get their top-four push back on track once again. The North London club have shown vulnerability in recent weeks and they will need to get back to their best once again. They will be desperate for Champions League qualification this season and the return of a key player could not have been better timed.

Brazilian international Richarlison seems to have rediscovered his goalscoring form, and the return of Son along with that could turn Tottenham into a formidable over the next few months.

It will be interesting to see if Ange Postecoglou is prepared to throw the South Korean into action right away. Alternatively, Tottenham could look to ease him back into the side and allow him a bit of rest after his international commitments.

Either way, the fans will be delighted to have their star attacker back and they will hope that he can hit the ground running.
