Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.
The 27-year-old Bundesliga striker is expected to be on the move when the transfer window opens in January and Tottenham are hoping to secure his services.
A report from Teamtalk claims that the striker has a release clause of around £15 million in his contract and triggering his exit clause will be pretty straightforward for his suitors. However, signing the player might not be as easy. The player’s agents are hoping for a lucrative contract for their client and Tottenham will have to offer substantial wages in order to convince the striker to join them.
The player has been linked with clubs like Manchester United as well. It will be interesting to see where the 27-year-old ends up.
Guirassy has been in spectacular form this season, scoring 18 goals across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality addition to the Tottenham attack, and the 27-year-old would help share the goalscoring burden with Son Heung-min.
The South Korean international has had to carry the goalscoring burden for Tottenham in the absence of Harry Kane. The England international striker left the club at the start of the season, and Tottenham have chosen not to replace him so far.
Signing a quality striker in January could prove to be a wise decision and Guirassy could help them finish the season strongly. The 27-year-old is in the form of his life and he is available for a bargain fee. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done.
