Tottenham face a serious challenge from Liverpool for target Mourinho has spoken to

Tottenham have been looking for the best players that will cost them little to no fee when the transfer window reopens, and one of the players that they have been linked to is PSG’s, Thomas Meunier.

The Belgian is set to become a free agent at the end of this season and that has attracted the attention of some top European sides.

Jose Mourinho wants to add him to his team ahead of next season as the Portuguese boss targets winning a trophy for the Lilywhites.

The Express claims that he has already spoken to the Belgian about joining him in North London, but the player has a number of teams to choose from.

The report further claims that Liverpool is also looking to bring him to England.

The Reds’ have Trent-Alexander Arnold as their undisputed right back, but if the Englishman becomes unavailable, they do not have a quality player to replace him.

Meunier would come with good experience of winning trophies as he has won three league titles among other domestic trophies at PSG.

Signing a player that has experience in picking up silverware would boost the Spurs dressing room and could help them to challenge for trophies next season.

Liverpool have Neco Williams, hugely promising RB who played in the Cups. We also have Gomez who can play there. Ki Jana Hoever can play there and has done, plus Milner has played there. We wont be going for a RB, a LB maybe, to cover Robbo, but no RB. We wouldn’t be letting Clyne leave if we were after a RB, utter rhubarb.

Aurier came with a similar winning mentality. Look how he turned out! No way
could Meunier turn out worse. Could he?
