Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
The 58-year-old Australian manager has done an impressive job since taking over at the North London club and naturally, other clubs are keeping tabs on him.
A report from the Telegraph claims that he could be a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool but Tottenham are ‘extremely confident’ of keeping him at the club beyond this season. The report further states that the 58-year-old manager could be rewarded if he manages to guide Tottenham to a top-four finish.
The Londoners do not expect the Australian manager to abandon his project at Tottenham after just a few months at the club, and they expect him to build a formidable squad capable of winning trophies.
Postecoglou has impressed with his free-flowing attacking approach at the North London club and he will want to help Tottenham end their wait for a trophy in the coming seasons.
Although he is a boyhood Liverpool fan, the 58-year-old is unlikely to push for an exit in the summer. Liverpool are thought to be keeping tabs on the Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso as well and the Spaniard could come in to replace the German manager.
Postecoglou has an exciting squad at his disposal and he has been backed significantly in the transfer market. The Australian will be expected to deliver the goods on the pitch and help Tottenham return to the Champions League and compete for major trophies.
