Tottenham could sell central midfielder who made a lasting impression on Ange

Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma finds himself in a state of uncertainty as the club prepares for a potential summer clearout.

Reports from Matt Law of The Telegraph suggest that Spurs are gearing up for a significant overhaul in the upcoming transfer window, with Brazilian striker Richarlison expected to lead the exodus.

Manager Ange Postecoglou’s recent acknowledgment of the need for change comes on the back of a disappointing run of results, which has seen Tottenham suffer three consecutive defeats.

These setbacks have severely impacted their chances of securing a top-four finish, with Aston Villa currently leading by seven points. And even though Spurs have two games in hand, their remaining fixtures include matches against Liverpool and Manchester City.

With top 4 now out of their hands, Ange will have the task to aim for a fresh start next season and build a team capable of qualifying for the Champions League at the least.

The report claims that Richarlison could be sold, with the club already in hunt for a top class striker. It also claims that the likes of Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are among those who will be sold as well.

Interestingly, the report adds that while midfielder Yves Bissouma is not up for sale currently, things could change if Tottenham receives a tempting offer for him.

Bissouma was among the player who had instantly impressed Ange when he was appointed in the summer.

The Mali international became one of the first names in his starting Xi alongside Pape Matar Sarr. However, his performances soon became inconsistent, particularly in the second half of the season.

Ange is a huge admirer of Conor Gallagher and wants the club to sign him. Chelsea could be forced to sell him in the upcoming window due to their need to adhere with the financial regulations.

If Spurs manage to sign Gallagher, it won’t be a surprise if they change their mind about keeping Bissouma.
