By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to act swiftly in the summer transfer window, continuing the proactive approach they have demonstrated over the last two transfer periods.

In both the last two transfer windows, the club secured their signings early in the window, not wasting anytime.

And it appears to that they will be following the same strategy this summer. They have already confirmed that Timo Werner has signed a new deal with the club, extending his loan for another year.

And as per the latest from Football Insider, Spurs could make a move to sign Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi before 30th June.

The former Chelsea man is another attacker who has been recently linked with a move to Tottenham as they look to bolster their attack.

Nottingham Forest will be forced to sell some of their star players this summer due to the Financial Fairplay rules, making the 23-year-old available for clubs to target.

Nottingham Forest face a financial predicament, needing to generate around £30 million from player sales to comply with FFP rules by the end of June.

As per the report, Tottenham highly rate the player with ‘huge’ potential, and will look to take advantage of Nottingham Forest’s current situation to try and lure him away by making a move for him before the deadline.

He joined Forest last summer for £5m after a failed stint at Bayer Leverkusen. However, he has impressed for the Reds, scoring 8 and assisting one in 29 league appearances.

The Chelsea academy product scored 16 and assisted 21 for the Blues before leaving the club for the Bundesliga in 2022.
