Tottenham could look to steal Ligue 1 midfielder from Arsenal

By Eddie Razo -

Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Houssem Aouar is a player that many clubs are after this summer. Arsenal, Atlético Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain all have an interest in the 23-year-old.

Now Tottenham Hotspur FC plans to throw their name in the sweepstakes for the France international. Le10Sport reports that the transfer amount that Lyon wants isn’t a problem for Tottenham, considering the investment in the French will pay off ideally in the next four or five years.

The French media outlet adds that Lyon could be looking in the neighborhood of between €20-million and €25-million for the France international. Le10Sport states that Arsenal has put in their first offer, but no further details whether it meets what Lyon wants.

Tottenham can also count on its previous business with Lyon as it secured the transfer of Tanguy Ndombélé in 2019 when the 24-year-old was atop the wish list of various other clubs.

Midfield is a position that Tottenham hopes to improve this summer. The English club has recently been linked to AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié.

Lyon could be looking to sell soon as they hope the sale of players such as Aouar can fund transfers to improve their squad.

The other day I read Arsenholes were trying to scupper a deal we were trying to make. This is nothing but retribution.
