Tottenham could land Leicester City ace cheaply but is he really needed?

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs have been linked with a move for Leicester City’s winger Demarai Gray and he could be theirs for a relatively low fee.

Football Insider claims that he may be available to Spurs’ for just £20 million as he has entered the final year of his current deal with the Foxes.

Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the Englishman and the Portuguese might still look to bring him to the Tottenham Stadium.

In the same article former Tottenham forward Darren Bent has backed Gray to be a fine addition to the Spurs team and thinks that fee is more than fair enough for a player of his quality.

Mourinho has been strengthening his team in this transfer window ahead of a new season that promises a lot of good things.

The special one has landed Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Joe Hart.

More players are expected to follow, but do we really need Gray?

The Englishman can barely get into the current Leicester City side and it is not exactly the case that the Foxes have better players than us.

He has struggled since Brendan Rodgers has been at the club and it seems that the former Liverpool manager is just happy for him to run down his contract at the moment.

Gray is a fine winger and he has a lot of potential, but he has failed to kick on from the early promise that he showed as a footballer.

We already have Heung Min Son, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn in our team and I don’t think that Gray will make our team any better, I don’t even think he can break into our starting XI.

Yes yes yes please. Freshen it up more. He can play. Wicked dead ball on him too. Leon bailey would be better🌚 didn’t he start out as a striker? That could come in handy. Put that money towards a better quality 2nd striker then don’t sign him
