By Saikat -

Julian Nagelsmann was recently sacked by Bayern Munich and the German manager will be replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

The 35-year-old German manager’s availability has alerted Tottenham Hotspur who are now looking to appoint him as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.

The Italian manager will be a free agent in the summer and he is unlikely to sign a new contract with them. Nagelsmann is rated as one of the best young managers in the world and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the north London club.

Journalist Dean Jones has now revealed that there has been a buzz around the fanbase since Thursday evening when the news of Nagelsmann’s sacking became public. Apparently, the Premier League side are looking at him as an intriguing option and they are hoping to find out whether the German manager is interested in taking over at the club.

Dean Jones has revealed on GiveMeSport: “The buzz around Tottenham Hotspur Twitter on Thursday evening, as news broke of Julian Nagelsmann’s sacking at Bayern Munich, was a total reflection of a club in desperate search for hope. The chance to lure Nagelsmann to the Premier League is a moment Tottenham can not let pass by.

“Bayern are now taking Thomas Tuchel on board, one of the men Spurs had in mind for when they replace Antonio Conte. Nagelsmann becomes a very intriguing option instead and Spurs intend to get a grasp of whether he is interested in the job over this weekend.”

It seems that Tottenham could make an inquiry over the weekend and it will be interesting to see what the 35-year-old decides.

The opportunity to manage a Premier League club could be an exciting prospect for Nagelsmann and he certainly has the ability to galvanise the club and get the players firing once again.

Tottenham have a squad of players suited to high-intensity attacking football and Nagelsmann could be the ideal coach for them. He impressed in the Bundesliga with his attacking football and he will be hoping to make his mark in the Premier League now.
