“Tottenham are going to”, “really cheap deal” – Transfer insider shares the latest on £73m winger linked with Spurs

Transfer insider Dean Jones has claimed that Tottenham will only consider a move for Manchester United flop Jadon Sancho if they get him on a cheap.

Sancho has struggled to replicate his form from Borussia Dortmund in the Premier League since joining Manchester United for £73m.

Under Erik ten Hag he has failed become a regular starter as well and the relationship between him and the manager has now completely fallen apart.

This happened after Erik ten Hag told the media that Sancho was dropped for the Arsenal game because of his poor training performance.

The former Dortmund player immediately called his manager out on his social media account suggesting that the Dutchman is lying.

Within an hour of Ten Hag’s press conference, Sancho had crafted a message which he posted on X (now deleted):

“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”

After the fallout, he is now expected to be sold in January on a reduced price. While Tottenham were linked with him in the summer but Jones now claims that Spurs may not be pursuing him in January unless he is available on an ‘easy loan’ or a ‘really cheap deal’.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones said:

“It doesn’t feel like the sort of one that Tottenham are going to be looking for in the January window, from what I can tell at this stage, so I wouldn’t necessarily expect them to need to come back in for Jadon Sancho in a moment like that unless an easy loan or a really cheap deal opened up.

“But the big question for Jadon Sancho will be whether he even has a future within the Premier League or he needs to go back abroad again. I think that’s going to be the first thing that he has to address.”

TBH Says:

It is unlikely that Tottenham will make a move for Sancho in January. They have a number of options in attack right now with the likes of Son, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Manor Solomon, and new signing Brennan Johnson all available.

Spurs will be in the market to sign another forward but we just can’t see Ange going in for Sancho.
