Tottenham are hoping to improve the defensive unit before the summer transfer window closes.
According to a report from Football Insider, they are growing in confidence that they will be able to agree on a deal for the 26-year-old defender South American defender who is on their transfer radar.
Juventus are currently worried about Financial Fair play regulations and that could convince them to sell Gleison Bremer this summer.
Bremer joined for a fee of around £43 million last summer and he has been a key player for them. The Italian outfit missed out on Champions League qualification and they are under financial pressure.
They could look to sell the former Torino defender this summer, and they will be hoping to recoup most of what they paid for him.
Spurs could certainly use a quality central defender this summer and Bremer could be a superb acquisition. Apparently, he is ‘high’ on Ange Postecoglou’s ‘wanted list’.
Tottenham will have to tighten up at the back this summer and the Brazilian certainly seems like the ideal target. He is at the peak of his powers right now and he could make an idiot impact at the north London club.
Spurs need to tighten up defensively if they want to improve and get back into the top four.
The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be an attractive option for the 26-year-old Brazilian defender, and he will look to make his mark in English football.
If Tottenham can sign him for a reasonable price, it could prove to be a masterstroke for them.
