The 22-year-old’s journey began at Derby County’s youth academy, where he played a key role in the club’s sole youth top-flight title victory. In 2021, Brown made the move to Switzerland, joining Lausanne-Sport to gain professional experience in European football. His development continued, and in August last year, he signed a four-year deal with Gent, becoming just the fourth English player to represent the club.
Since joining Gent, Brown has solidified his place as a starter, often utilized in an advanced left-midfield role that showcases his versatility. Last season, he featured in 44 games across all competitions, contributing four assists and demonstrating a balanced skill set that supports both defence and attack.
This season, Brown has built on his previous success, recording one goal and four assists in 22 appearances. With his contract running until 2027 and a market value of approximately €7 million, Brown is a tantalising prospect for Tottenham.
