Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, and they could look to make a move for him in January.

David Ornstein has confirmed that the North London club will have money available to improve the team, and they like the 25-year-old African. He has been in impressive form in the Premier League this season, and he could prove to be an excellent acquisition. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.

Semenyo has been labelled as “world-class” by his teammate.

Tottenham need more quality in the attack if they want to finish the season strongly. They will be aiming for Champions League qualification, and they need to improve the attack. The African is likely to be attracted to the idea of joining a big club as well. The move to Tottenham will be exciting for him.

Spurs keen on Antoine Semenyo among others

Ornstein said on the Sky Sports’Back Pages podcast: “There will be money available if the right profile comes to them, and if it will improve the team in their eyes.

“They like Antoine Semenyo, for example, if it’s not going to be him, maybe some other players in that wide attacking position, which is something they looked at last summer with Savinho from Manchester City.

“It didn’t come to fruition. Maybe it will in January, and they’ll hope that Thomas Frank can bring the results over time.”

Semenyo has proven himself with Bournemouth, and this is the right time for him to take on a new challenge. He will want to compete in Europe and play alongside top-quality players. The Ghana International certainly has the quality to develop into a top-class player, and the move to Tottenham could help him improve further. It remains to be seen whether the north London outfit is willing to pay the asking price for him.

Semenyo has a £65 million release clause in his contract.
