Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Savinho during the January transfer window.

The Brazilian has struggled for regular opportunities at Manchester City, and he has been linked with a move away. It will be interesting to see if Manchester City is willing to sanction his departure in the summer. Tottenham are long-term admirers of the Brazilian attacker, and a football insider report claims they continue to view him as a target, despite failing to sign him so far.

Can Tottenham finally sign Savinho?

It remains to be seen whether they decide to come forward with an official offer to get the deal done in the summer. They need more quality on the flanks, and the 21-year-old could be an excellent addition. He has shown his quality in bits and parts at the English club. He has impressed in La Liga previously. There is no doubt that he is good enough to start for Tottenham regularly. He will add peace and flair to the team. Tottenham need more unpredictability in the final third, and the Brazilian could transform them.

Savinho has 22 goal contributions in 75 matches for Manchester City.

Savinho needs a fresh start

The opportunity to join the North London club will be exciting for the player as well. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and starting him will provide him with the platform.

Manchester City signed Antoine Semenyo for £64 million during the January transfer window, which has pushed the Brazilian attacker down the pecking order. Manchester City could look to cash in on him and improve their squad in the summer. Sitting on the bench at Manchester City will not appeal to Savinho either. It remains to be seen whether all parties can finalise a move in the summer.
